The SOLLERS Transmission Production plant has launched mass production of three models of manual gearboxes.
The new six-speed manual gearboxes will be installed in Sollers ST6 and ST8 pickup trucks with petrol engines, as well as in Sollers Atlant all-metal vans with 1.9-litre diesel engines. The gearboxes will complement the current range of units produced for Sollers Atlant modifications with 2.7-liter engines, and diesel versions of Sollers Argo and Sollers ST6 and ST8 pickup trucks.
In addition, the updated units will be installed in UAZ Profi Polutorka vehicles with rear-wheel drive and diesel engines, which will start rolling off the Ulyanovsk conveyor in April of this year.
These transmission modifications are a further development of the basic versions of gearboxes, production of which was launched in Zavolzhye with the support of the Industrial Development Fund in February 2024. Expansion of the range to seven manual transmission modifications, taking into account the launch of new units, was made possible thanks to technological flexibility and the ability to quickly retool the production line. According to Ilnur Sakhabiev, General Director of SOLLERS Transmission Production LLC, “development of the product portfolio will allow us to cover even more market segments and offer solutions for almost all vehicles manufactured by the SOLLERS Group.”
Let us recall that the total investment volume of the SOLLERS Group in the comprehensive program for development of the Zavolzhsky Motor Plant industrial site from 2023, including the development of production of power units and gearboxes, and the development of foundry projects, has amounted to over 2 billion rubles.
