SOLLERS presented its Sollers ST8 all-wheel drive pickup truck at the main Russian industrial exhibition INNOPROM in Yekaterinburg. The innovative truck model was presented on 9 July with Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and Minister of Industry Anton Alikhanov attending.

Production of the Sollers ST8 using full cycle technology will be established at Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant, and a pilot batch of pickup trucks will be produced by the end of 2024. The powertrain and components for the new pickup truck will be fully manufactured in Russia. The truck will be equipped with a diesel engine and a six-speed transmission, which are already produced at the SOLLERS Group plants in Elabuga and Zavolzhye with a high level of localisation of all basic parts.

‘The launch of production of the new Sollers model in Ulyanovsk will be a strategically important step both for the development of the UAZ industrial site and for further expansion of SOLLERS capacity to produce highly localised commercial vehicles with frame design. We expect that the production launch of the Sollers ST8 will fully satisfy the Russian market’s demand for full-size pickup trucks with a high level of comfort,’ said Nikolay Sobolev, CEO of SOLLERS PJSC.

The Sollers ST8 features an all-wheel drive system, reliable frame construction and high ground clearance of 210 mm. The model is equipped with advanced safety systems and electronic driver assistance, and digital solutions are widely employed in the interior. Its load capacity is 900 kg.

Sales of the Sollers ST8 are scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2025.
